Achieving a Better Final Polish on Anterior Restorations
The final polish on dental restorations, especially anterior restorations, has aesthetic and practical outcomes for the patient. The shine and luster created will excite the patient and generate word-of-mouth referrals. Additionally, the restoration, whether composite, porcelain, or other material, will last longer. In this video, Dr. Dennis Hartlieb uses Cosmedent’s Enamelize Polishing Paste to finalize this diastema closure case and showcase the final results.
STEP 1
Use a Q-tip to apply a small dab of Enamelize Polishing Paste onto the teeth you are preparing to polish.
STEP 2
Spread the Enamelize across the tooth surface with your finger to distribute the paste evenly.
STEP 3
With pressure, buff the teeth with FlexiBuffs, using high torque and low speed (15,000 RPMs suggested).
STEP 4
Rinse the excess Enamelize off of the teeth with water.
