This course will be taught by prosthodontist Dr. Javier Quirós, who has dedicated his life to building beautiful smiles with composite resin and achieving full mouth rehabilitations in those dental-handicapped patients.

Dr. Bryan Torres, a dentist and lab technician who has mastered the digital part of dentistry, will co-instruct this course. Dr. Torres and Dr. Quirós will teach you the techniques necessary to transition into the new digital era—i.e., scanning, exocad® design, 3D printing, and manufacturing—making your practice more predictable, profitable, and satisfying!

This hands-on course will include the hardware and software for you to try first-hand. Discover hands-on how digital and analog articulators, design software, intraoral scanners, and 3D printers can integrate with restorative workflows.

  • Photography tips and tricks to sell your cosmetic cases
  • Rubber dam isolation and adhesion
  • Materials application to create beautiful smiles
  • From wax-up to bonding, step-by-step recipe to success
  • The direct-indirect technique to maximize the use and longevity of composite veneers
  • How to accomplish a thin, natural-looking veneer with tints and opaquers
Hands-on
  • The simple – esthetic veneer
  • The dark tooth dilemma
Day 2
Lecture
  • How to make 8 anterior veneers in one appointment
  • Create strong and predictable contact points with composite resin
  • Finish, polish and texturize veneers
  • Functional occlusion in complex cases- how to: open vertical dimension with composite resin, make centric relation records, take face bow and esthetic transfers, establish canine and anterior guidance with composite resin, posterior support with composite resin
  • How to present large cases
  • How long will my cases last?
  • Maintenance and guarantee of composite veneers

Meet the Instructor

Javier Quirós, DDS

Dr. Quirós is a graduate of the University of Costa Rica School of Dentistry and holds an Advanced Education in General Dentistry with a Fellowship in Cosmetic Dentistry. He concluded a Graduate Prosthodontics Program from the Texas A & M., Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. Quirós teaches at Odontopolis Dental Training Institute, the Costa Rica Dental Association, and the Graduate Prosthodontics Department from the University of Costa Rica. He has presented numerous “hands on” courses, internationally and has a successful private practice, in San Jose, Costa Rica, which concentrates in Prosthodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry.
