Discover Composite Bonding Techniques for Success

Anterior and Posterior Composites; Free-hand Bonding for Esthetic and Functional Success

Learn hands-on techniques for anterior and posterior composites, focusing on esthetic, minimally invasive restorations with life-like results.

Dennis Hartlieb Dental CE Course Discover Composite Bonding Techniques for Success Dennis Hartlieb Dental CE Course Discover Composite Bonding Techniques for Success

Two Days of Workshops

This hands-on course will immerse attendees into the world of composite resins!

Day 1

Lecture
  • Understand the materials necessary for composite success
  • Learn step-by-step techniques that work – layering techniques to create life-like esthetics for anterior direct resin restorations
  • Why opaquers are critical for Class IV composite predictability and success
  • How to use tints to create natural effects
  • Why Microfill composites in a world of Nanofills
  • Creating central incisor symmetry with free-hand composites
  • Polishing techniques that rival natural tooth and porcelain surfaces.
Hands-on
  • Shade selection techniques
  • Putty matrix fabrication
  • Class IV restoration preparation, bevel design (Maxillary right central incisor)
  • Class IV restoration layering with nanofill, opaquers, tints, and microfill composites (Maxillary right central incisor)
  • Class IV restoration shaping, contouring, and polishing for esthetic success (Maxillary right central incisor)
  • Composite veneer preparation design (Maxillary left central incisor)
  • Composite veneer layering strategies (Maxillary left central incisor)
  • Composite veneer contour matching (Maxillary left central incisor)
Day 2

Lecture
  • Adhesive protocols for the 21st century
  • Composite warmers – fact and fiction
  • Composite layering for function and esthetics
  • Pre-wedging and other secrets to successful posterior composites restorations
  • Techniques to simplify Class II composites
  • Efficient and predictable side-by-side Class II matrix band techniques
  • What ‘they’ don’t want you to know about bulk-fill composites
  • Managing deep class II composites and the direct composite “margin elevation technique.”
Hands-On
  • Matrix band selection and placement
  • Managing adjacent Class II restorations for ideal contour and proximal contacts – DO/C #14, MO/C #15
  • Bulkfill restoration to optimize efficiency and esthetics (tooth #3)
  • Margin elevation and “band-in-band” techniques for the most difficult posterior restorations (DO #2)
