Learn how to make minor and major changes to occlusion so the function is comfortable, restorations last, and smiles look their best. Requiring little or no prep even for challenging cases, this composite technique is a more affordable option than traditional ceramic restorations…so patients love it! The lectures are reinforced with frequent hands-on exercises to ensure this new knowledge becomes a skill so you can immediately apply this technique to help more patients. This course is very different than other resin courses. It’s NOT about how to layer the resins, tints, and opaquers; it covers additional invaluable information to help any doctor master their composite bonding skills.

  • Why composite is not a second-rate material
  • Comparison of materials and handling properties
  • Essential smile design formulas to quickly determine the “best smile possible” for each patient
  • Transitional bonding—using a single material with an incremental technique for major esthetic changes
  • Rationale for increasing VDO, including goals for anterior occlusion and posterior occlusion and how they differ
  • Template technique using a putty matrix to increase success and speed
Hands-on
  • Template fabrication and use
  • Three material comparisons of handling properties, dispensing, incremental application, and adaptation of composite, curing, contouring
  • Focus on primary anatomy
  • Restoring anterior guidance on worn anterior teeth
  • Step-by-step to lengthen anterior teeth

  • Invisible margins anywhere on the facial surface
  • The Mylar pull for perfect contacts and proximal contours

Meet the Instructor

Corky Willhite, DDS, FAACD

Dr. Corky Willhite has achieved Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentists, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is one of less than 100 Accredited Fellows in the AACD worldwide. He has served on their Board of Governors (currently the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry) and spent years as an Examiner for Accreditation. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at L.S.U. School of Dentistry. He is on the faculty of the Center for Esthetic Excellence in Chicago. He has been published and feels honored to have so many opportunities to lecture nationally and internationally. Over the years, his private practice in suburban New Orleans—The Smile Design Center—has become limited to Cosmetic Dentistry. His experience is based on a dedication to the belief that “excellence” and “esthetics” are not only compatible but can take dentistry to a new level of satisfaction and success
