Course Overview

8:00 am to 5:00 pm each day
AGD Codes: 250, 780

Welcome to the course designed for dentists seeking to avoid the challenges and liabilities associated with tooth preparation while embracing an accessible and non-invasive approach.

In today’s visually-driven landscape, patients often shape their dental decisions based on content shared on social media platforms. The prevalence of images featuring aggressively prepared teeth has diminished the demand for traditional veneers. However, there is a growing interest in non-invasive composite techniques. The term “non-invasive veneers” is surging on all search engines. The future of cosmetic dentistry lies in non-invasive techniques.

Two Days of Workshops

Dr. Ballard will guide you through an effective workflow that seamlessly transitions from a digital scan to a refined outcome within a single day, using precision guides. This technique empowers dentists to achieve beautiful results rapidly and with a healthy profit margin. This is not injection molding or unpredictable hand layering. You don’t need to be a Picasso to deliver stunning results with guided veneers!

Day 1

Lecture
  • Explore the anatomy of anterior teeth, delving into morphology. This includes all
line angles, embrasures, angulation concerning facial morphology, and developmental grooves. Discussion will include how to “fit the teeth to the patient’s face.”
  • Patient selection: What cases will have a good prognosis? Which cases will not? Do we need orthodontic treatment first?
Doing a manual or digital wax-up using Exocad technology: Case planning and putty shell creation.
  • Appointment day: Selecting the correct shade for our case while considering dehydration. What colors do we want to use, and how intricate is the patient’s natural tooth anatomy?
  • Use of TINTS and OPAQUERS: How do we achieve a life-like outcome?
  • Finishing and polishing
Day 1

Hands-on
  • Simple Class IV on #8
  • Complex Class IV on #9
Day 2

Lecture
  • Full arch case selection and planning
  • Brief review of digital full-case wax-up
  • Shade and intricacy selections for case: Keeping the patient’s habits and esthetic desires in mind.
  • Maintainance of resin veneers
  • Consent forms
  • Maintaining periodontal health
  • Marketing
Day 2

Hands-on
  • Reconstruction of #6 -11 with putty shell.
  • Achieving symmetry and harmony with our 6 -11 case.
  • How do we remove materials without causing trauma, if the need arises?

Meet the Instructor

Andrew “Drew” Ballard, DDS

Dr. Ballard graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 2007. Following graduation, he served as a dental officer at Walter Reed Army Hospital, where he played a vital role in the facial reconstruction of wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the psychological impact of facial aesthetics, Dr. Ballard spent two additional years in mentorship in South Korea, making cosmetic dentistry his focal point.

From 2017-2019, Dr. Ballard embarked on a global educational tour, visiting over 20 countries to learn from leading cosmetic dentists. This experience led to the development of a new direct and completely non-invasive veneer system, now known as HALO™ veneers. Dr. Ballard has shared his expertise by lecturing on the use of HALO veneers nationally and internationally. Currently practicing in Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Ballard remains at the forefront of innovative and patient-friendly cosmetic dentistry.
