Course Overview

Brian LeSage, DDS, FAACD, Before and After Diastema ClosureInstructor Brian LeSage, DDS FAACD

AGD Subject Codes: 254
Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

This two-day workshop will challenge, intrigue, and inspire you to become highly proficient with composite artistry.  Learn the subtle but crucial nuances in the lecture and ten hands-on exercises that allow you chairside to recreate the dentin, enamel, and maverick coloring that each individual tooth possesses.  A small portion of this workshop will involve the AACD Accreditation process.

Dr. LeSage will guide you through 2-D drawing exercises to start the global process of recreating the natural dentition.  Advancing to the 3-D drawings next and then using a single tooth mold to create an entire tooth out of composite will fill the first morning.  Each exercise builds on the next to gain experience in learning specific layering and finishing and polishing techniques.  Lectures by Dr. LeSage, live demonstrations, and personal workstations with over-the-shoulder learning will introduce you to these crucial concepts and give you the knowledge to attain unparalleled composite outcomes.

The second day will involve Dr. LeSage demonstrating while you follow along, mirroring a highly specialized typodont.  You will need to recreate in the 3D world precisely the contour, color, and creativity that exists in the typodont teeth. This extremely advanced skill level is only taught in this course. Your composite will rival porcelain even by our master ceramists.  We hope you will accept the composite challenge and join us!
