AGD SUBJECT CODES: 010, 017, 029, 254, 269, 781, 782
Time: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

In two days, you will learn how to break down the form and color of a central incisor, lateral incisor, and canine in a systematic way. You will learn how to seamlessly restore a Class IV, build up a peg lateral, and direct veneer a canine.

After taking this course you will have learned how to:

  • Color map and select the correct composite type and shade for artistic layering.
  • Properly reproduce line angles, point angles, embrasures, macro, and micro surface texture.
  • Compose a natural morphological and chromatic depiction of the most important teeth in the smile frame.

Newton Fahl, Jr. Before and After AnteriorsCLASS OVERVIEW/SCHEDULE

Day 1 Lecture:

  • Learning to see tooth anatomy three-dimensionally.
  • Breaking down the smile frame – Learning landmarks that matter for composite sculpturing.
  • The Class IV Restoration – Histomorphological considerations, material selection, and layering.
  • Pre-restorative orthodontic considerations for optimal anterior esthetic results when closing diastemas and building up peg laterals.
  • The Peg Lateral Build-Up – Histomorphological considerations, material selection, and layering.

Day 1 Hands-on:

  • Restoring an Upper Central Incisor – The Class IV Restoration
