Chemistry and Makeup

CosmeCore is a new dual-cure, automix resin core material that has been developed by Cosmedent, Inc. to supply high strength in core build-ups. The tested flexural and compressive strength of CosmeCore exceeds that of all other products on the marketplace, and allows for the preparation of the core at the same appointment it is placed. Following polymerization, the cured material hardens with strength characteristics similar to dentin. CosmeCore is radiopaque to easily distinguish from tooth structure in radiographs and has fluoride to increase tooth protection.
